For my second phase of work with DMS, I created a WordPress-based website with a custom-built theme. This new website accompanied a re-branding and move for the company. From a technical standpoint, the WordPress theme consists of three templates, each with options to add vimeo videos along with titles/descriptions and large header images.
The Look Solutions USA website features a slideshow on the home page, randomly selecting images and customer quotes on the sidebar, an OScommerce-based store, and a means for customers to directly contribute to the content of the site.
Originally based on Joomla and its VirtuMart shopping cart system, the Wig Shop was in need of an upgrade. Using a then-unfamiliar shopping cart called Click Cart Pro 7, I recreated the Wig Shop website using the newer shopping cart. I created a theme for the shopping cart, converted the old VirtuMart database over to one compatible with CCP7, and created custom shipping code based on location.
The IHC was looking for two things in their new website. The first being a way to showcase the population/housing data that they had collected in an easy, tangible way that didn’t involve visitors to download a messy excel file. The second was a way for them to easily add news articles for people to view. I gave them both and more using WordPress and a custom-made MySQL database.
The brainchild of Elbert “Shaquan D.O.N.” Gaynor, S.D.G.E. is an entertainment and marketing company based in Baltimore, MD. When I first met Mr. Gaynor, I was just there to help maintain his website (adding pictures, music, videos, etc.). Eventually I helped launch an email marketing campaign, a social media marketing campaign, and even relaunched his previously Flash-based website as a search engine-friendly HTML website.
The Bonner Appraisal website is built on WordPress and features a homepage slideshow that showcases the various properties that they’ve done appraisals for.
Phase I of my work with Direct Mail Solutions entailed the construction of a website that allowed their customers to receive quotes, access useful tools, learn about the company, and apply for positions in the company. The homepage boasted an automatic slideshow featuring different aspects of the company. To the right of that sat a news ticker, providing the latest in industry news (not pictured above). This version of the site is no longer available, but feel free to check out my second phase of work with DMS.
